According to Talabi, the decision to lift the curfew was influenced by the enhanced security conditions prevailing throughout the volatile area.
According to his statement, the town has regained a state of normalcy, while security authorities were actively conducting investigations into both the underlying and proximate factors contributing to the cult conflicts.
As per his statement, Governor Dapo Abiodun has a strong dedication towards eradicating all manifestations of violence inside the state.
The SSG emphasized to the residents of Sagamu the importance of resuming their daily routines without apprehension. Furthermore, it was assured that sufficient security measures would persist notwithstanding the termination of the curfew.
According to NAN, the Police have officially announced the apprehension of 19 individuals who are believed to be affiliated with various cult organizations. These arrests are linked to the recent violent fights between cult groups in the Sagamu region, resulting in the unfortunate demise of eight individuals.
The aforementioned statement was issued by Omolola Odutola, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun State, on Monday.
Based on the provided assertion, a total of 19 individuals were apprehended at distinct sites inside the Sagamu region of the state, owing to the collaborative endeavors of diverse units within the police force.
According to her statement, Ogunnibi Hammed, who was believed to be a prominent member of the Eiye Confraternity and accused of orchestrating violent acts against rival cult factions within the state, was apprehended during the operation.
The individual observed that the state commissioner of police, Abiodun Alamutu, had issued a directive for the prompt initiation of an inquiry into the apprehended individuals. Furthermore, it was assured that the general public would be duly notified of any further progress in relation to the case.
The Commissioner of Police has been apprised of the arrests and has issued a directive for a prompt inquiry into the seized people. According to Odutola, as the inquiry advances, the law enforcement authorities will provide information to the general public concerning any pertinent advancements in this particular case.
