Four abduction victims are saved by vigilantes in Anambra, and a suspect is killed.

Four people who were allegedly kidnapped in Onitsha have been freed by the Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG), and one accused suspect has been neutralized.

Three of the kidnappers' cars, as well as an AK-47 weapon and a pistol, were found by the AVG, according to a source who revealed this to iGONG.

According to the source, the rescue effort occurred on Wednesday between 8:30 and 9 p.m. in two separate operations in Onitsha.

Onitsha resident Mr. Theo Eze confirmed that a popular video of the victims' rescue that had gone viral on social media was accurate. The men were stopped by AVG agents, who also murdered one of them while saving their victims.

"Due to the nature of crime in the commercial metropolis, several well-known locals have donated money to reenergize Onitsha's security system and reduce the city's dependency on the police.

What you can see in that video is the outcome of such AVG strengthening.

The victims claimed to be from a variety of locations in the viral films, including the Abba and Neni towns in Anambra and Urualla in Imo State for one victim.

At the time this story was filed, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police command's public relations officer, could not be reached for comment.
