Ex-convict arrested by Amotekun for stealing and burglary

The Osun Amotekun Corps apprehended Rufai Wasiu, a male Individual aged 40, on charges of burglary and theft of a mobile device.


The arrest was confirmed to journalists in Osogbo on Thursday by the Corps Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi. He stated that the suspect, who has expertise in breaking into houses and theft, was apprehended following the submission of a report.


The individual in question was apprehended in Osogbo subsequent to committing a burglary and pilfering mobile devices. This apprehension was carried out by Law Enforcement agents following the submission of a complaint to our Osogbo command regarding the individual's criminal activities.


The individual in question admitted to doing the aforementioned act and had previously served a prison sentence for the identical offense.


According to Adewinmbi, the individual in question has been sent to the custody of law enforcement authorities for further questioning and legal proceedings.
