Innocent Ujah Idibia, well known by his stage name 2Baba, has chastised Nigerians for being unduly worried about his family.
Although he claims to have developed a thick skin over the years to Nigerians' criticisms of his family, the African Queen crooner acknowledged that he still gets wounded occasionally.
The father of seven complained that Nigerians who implied he was a deadbeat parent to his kids had never offered to pay for any of their education expenses.
In the most recent episode of the Afrobeats podcast, which is hosted by British-Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide, 2Baba made this statement.
Many people talk about children, paternity, motherhood, and the entire cycle, he said. Many individuals discuss it in terms of popular opinion. It goes deeper than that though. Nobody is in possession of the exact design for this.
"The relationship between you and your little ones [children] is the fundamental truth of the whole matter," There are so many methods to locate it. There isn't a single guideline or method to follow.
"I talk to my people as if they were my friends. I don't dictate to them. I communicate with them the same way I do with my mother and friends.
"I receive numerous jabs [trolling]. Many people have spoken negative things about me. On Social Media, I've been the target of several jokes. And occasionally it hurts. Some people occasionally just post nonsense on social media. It's comparable to terrorists bombing unarmed civilians.
And I'll start to question why, despite their genuine worry for my family, none of those critics have come forward to help me pay for my children's School Expenses up to this point. Not a single soul, even.
In 2012, according to INFORGONG, 2Baba wed actress Annie Macaulay, one of his three baby mothers, in a secret ceremony.
The marriage has since been dogged by scandals, including Annie's claim that Pero Adeniyi, the mother of the 2Baba's first child, is still having an affair with the singer.
Additionally, the musician has been accused of having an extramarital affair and neglecting some of his children, according to rumors.
2Baba, however, has subsequently refuted all of the rumors.
