The Lexus RZ 450e gets a lot of attention in its Steering system which has adopted a by-wire steering system with the offer of a commercial jet-style steering Wheel feature.

The Lexus RZ 450e previously made its global debut in April 2022. The electric RZ is one of the Lexus models to reach 100 percent of global battery electric car sales by 2030.  The RZ 450e is a model built on a single platform with the Toyota bZ4X.

In terms of performance, the RZ 450e can accelerate from 0-100 km per hour in 5.6 seconds with a maximum speed limited to only 160 km per hour. 

The RZ 450e is equipped with a Lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 71.4 kWh. This battery is claimed to have a range of up to 450 km on a single charge.

RZ is dedicated to luxury car enthusiasts with very smooth acceleration and quiet cabins. The RZ 450e also contains sustainable interior materials, consisting of plant-based "polyester" which replaces the leather-based suede normally used by Lexus.

The optional by-wire steering system that Lexus claims is a game changer. The RZ 450e is definitely not the first car to include a U-shaped steering control wheel, because this steering wheel option is not easily absorbed by the tastes of buyers in any class. 

The Lexus RZ 450e was launched with a range of 354 km with standard 18-inch wheels and 315 km with 20-inch wheels. Bigger wheels mean less rolling resistance and reduced reach.
