She recalls her best friend Peter Parker as the last person she felt close to after leaving her band. Gwen and her father, Police Captain George Stacy, were very close to him and his Aunt May, but she never told anyone about her double life as a superhero. Despite Gwen's efforts to defend Peter, he was constantly bullied at school. He began experimenting with a hazardous chemical without her knowledge. A massive lizard monster attacked the school the night of the prom and attempted to kill Peter's bully. Gwen, jumping right into it as SPIDER-WOMAN, fended him off, making the structure breakdown on top of the animal.

The spider returned to Peter, who was mortally harmed by the rubble. It was too late for Gwen to save him. Before passing away in her arms, Peter let her know he was aware that she was Spider-Woman and reassured her. Captain Stacy assumed that the masked vigilante had killed Peter and placed an order for a city-wide search for Spider-Woman after finding her over his body. In the present, Gwen gets back to find her father, who is not set in stone to cut down the "executioner" of his little girl's dearest companion. Regardless of Gwen letting him know it's horrible, he before long leaves to answer an unsettling influence at the Guggenheim Historical center. After neutralizing the police outside and entering to find a parchment-based Vulture sucked into her dimension and wreaking havoc inside, Gwen quickly follows behind him as Spider-Woman. Miguel O'Hara, also known as, another interdimensional traveler, saves her from the villain's hold. Spider-Man 2099, the Spider Society's leader. He tells her that since Miles' world's collider incident, Vulture and others like him have been drawn into alternate universes. He uses his artificial intelligence Lyla to call for assistance from another Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew, whose powers and suit are still unable to subdue the Renaissance era vulture. Even though Miguel almost uses two hidden fangs on the vulture, the three of them are able to stop it and save the civilians and police officers in the area. Gwen is hurt and out of the web, so she stops to rest. Captain Stacy attempts to take her in after finding her and locking her up. In spite of her attempting to prevail upon him and broadcast her blamelessness of Peter's demise, he keeps on putting her in custody. He is come by Miguel and Jess, who get ready to return the Vulture to their aspect. Jess persuades a profoundly hesitant Miguel not to abandon Gwen isolated, and he permits her to go with them.

A new small-time villain by the name of The Spot tries unsuccessfully to rob an ATM in Brooklyn on Earth-1610 several months later. He uses his spots to create portals whose placement he cannot control with his powers. Miles Spirits, a.k.a. Spider-Man shows up to halt him. Even though Spot insists that the criminal, who appears to be harmless, is Spider-Man's foe, he does not take him seriously because it is obvious that he is incompetent and does not want to harm anyone. Miles receives frantic texts from Jefferson and Rio, Miles' parents, before he can explain. They are waiting for him at school for a meeting with the principal to talk about his future in college. Miles makes an effort to eliminate Spot as quickly as possible, but the haphazard portals cause a frantic chase through the city. Miles in the end stifles Spot, however needs to pass on to meet his folks. Miles is doing alright in school, however a portion of his grades, and his extra curricular exercises in general, have experienced his unexplained nonappearances. Additionally, his parents are concerned about his plans to attend a New Jersey college to assist with dimensional travel research. Rio is irritated when Jeff leaves too, seeing as Spot has escaped. He leaves suddenly.

Jefferson follows spider Man, who has returned to battling Spot, the anonymous man feeling offended that spider-Man considers him low-level miscreant. The three of them end up in the Alchemax collider's wreckage after teleporting all over. The Spot tells spider Man that this is where they were both made, as Spot used to be a researcher at Alchemax (the person who Miles tossed a bagel at in the primary film), and ran the test which brought the bug that piece Miles through from another aspect. Similarly, when Miles destroyed the collider, an accident caused the released energy to permanently transform Spot into the humanoid portal creature he is now. The Spot was evaded by his associates, companions, and even family for his condition. He attacks Spider-Man and Lieutenant Morales out of rage, but he accidentally kicks himself into a deep portal, which closes behind him. Jeff is baffled that the crook moved away, as well as all the property harm brought about by the battle. Before leaving, the masked Miles awkwardly offers advice to Spider-Man after he confides in him about his difficulties in being a good husband and father. The Spot finds himself in a void where he can see a lot of portals that his spots have made. He sees that he can go to different dimensions through them, but he loses energy and can't go back to the space in between. He resolves to acquire more power in order to take control of the void and defeat Spider-Man.

Miles proceeds to attempt to adjust his life as Miles with his obligations as Insect Man. While late to a major party to praise his father's impending advancement to police commander, he stops to get cakes, however is continually waylaid by Insect Man obligations returning, missing his dad's discourse. At the point when he at last makes it, the cakes are demolished, and his folks stand up to him about his cryptic way of behaving. Miles yells at his parents as he becomes enraged at trying to come up with an explanation. Miles flees to his room after Rio and Jeff ground him. Gwen invites Miguel to hang out with her when she suddenly appears through a dimension portal controlled by a watch she was given. Gwen introduces him to Miguel's organization, the Spider Society, which she has joined to assist in the defense of the various universes, as they don their costumes. Miles shares his own struggles with the pressure from his parents as the two walk through the city for a while before stopping to talk. Gwen tells him that he is the only friend she has made since her brother Peter died. He thinks perhaps he ought to simply come clean with them, yet Gwen cautions against it. Gwen says as they get closer that there is always a Gwen Stacy version who falls for Spider-Man, but it always ends in tragedy. Miles expresses hope that the story might finally come to a happy conclusion for the first time. When they get back to the party, Gwen demonstrates to Miles her dimension-jumping watch, which not only stabilizes her but also prevents her from glitching when she is in other worlds. Miles gets some information about joining the Insect Society, yet she turns out to be out of nowhere shut off about the subject and suggests that it's an exceptionally particular and tip top gathering. Jeff and Rio barge in to meet Gwen, quickly disliking her fellowship with Miles. Gwen needs to leave when her watch shows to her, and Jeff passes on Rio to converse with Miles. They have a heart-to-heart conversation, but Miles still refuses to reveal that he is Spider-Man out of fear of what Gwen said. Rio grants him permission to pursue Gwen.

Miles gets ready and tracks Insect Gwen to a deserted and as of late harmed constructing, utilizing his powers to turn imperceptible and follow her inside. She uses her watch to recreate what happened because Spot built a miniature collider to give him the power to dimension hop. Gwen blows a gasket, and is called by Jess, who is furious that Gwen neglected to stop Spot before he got away. Despite Gwen's insistence that she needed to see Miles, she realizes that Gwen disobeyed direct instructions to stay away from him. Before she tells Miguel, she tells Jess that she will never return to Miles' dimension. The older Spider-Woman gives her one last chance to get Spot. Lyla tracks him, and Gwen utilizes her watch to go through an entrance. Miles follows her, determined to learn more about the Spider Society and feeling alone without his friends.

They end up on Mumbatten's Earth 50101, where New York is a huge Indian metropolis. Miles runs into Gwen by accident while she is chasing Spot, who has significantly increased his power control and is easily evading her. Miles likewise meets the neighborhood spider Man, Pavitr Prabhakar. Even though Pavitr has only been Spider-Man for six months, he is already a Spider Society member. Like the others the year before, Miles experiences spasms as a result of being removed from his universe, and when he tries to save Gwen, he nearly injures her. The three go with Spot to Earth-50101's Alchemax, which has a collider that works perfectly. Spot activates the device and uses a forcefield to keep them out. Miles tries to steal the forcefield's energy using his Venom abilities, but it's too slow and weak. Miles is given advice on how to proceed by another Spiderman who appears and uses his own special abilities to break through the barrier. He is Gwen's companion Hobie Brown, a.k.a. spider-Punk, an English defiant revolutionary spider man. He joins the others in attempting to prevent Spot from entering the collider, yet are past the point of no return. Miles has a vision of his father and another policeman being killed in a city battle as Spot takes on the power.

Spot, now completely obscured by the gloomy portals and unable to be recognized, tells Miles that he will exact his vengeance on the teen hero for what he has done to him and returns to other dimensions. The four spider people collaborate to protect the civilians from harm as the building begins to fall onto Mumbatten. Pavitr notices that his girlfriend's father, Police Inspector Singh, is also in danger as he tries to save a bus that is carrying his girlfriend. Miles tries to save him, but Gwen stops him because it's too risky. Miles goes anyway and only manages to save the Inspector, much to the relief and gratitude of Pavitr and his girlfriend. However, a transport filled with additional spider people, including Jess, arrives to contain a black portal that opens in the center of the city. Jess tells Gwen, Hobie, and Miles to go back to HQ with her. Miles is glad to be let inside the Bug Society, yet Gwen is uncertain.

In the year 2099, they are taken to Earth-928, Nueva York, a beautiful futuristic world. They enter the Spider Society Headquarters, where Miles sees hundreds of spider people from all dimensions, including a teenage Margo Kess-controlled virtual reality spider-woman named Spider-Byte. Befuddled with regards to why Gwen let him know it was a little gathering, Miles is given a wristband to keep him from misfiring. He also sees "anomalies," villains who have left their own dimensions and are now imprisoned in preparation for being sent home by the Go Home Machine, a device that sends the anomalies back to the dimension they came from by detecting their DNA. When they are summoned to see Miguel, Hobie tells Miles to carefully consider why he wants to be a part of the society and warns him not to accept their methods until he knows what he is fighting for. Miguel is furious at Miles and Gwen for allowing Spot to escape, particularly for interfering. He is intruded on by Peter B. Parker, the Insect Man who helped Miles the earlier year, with his newborn child girl Mayday. Gwen accepts responsibility, claiming that she was instructed not to engage Miles and should never have gone to see him. Miles need to know what's happening, so Miguel chooses to clarify what is going on for him. He shows him a calculation containing the subtleties of each and every universe's spider Man, and the things that interface all of them together, like the demise of a friend or family member prodding them to gallantry. Miguel clarifies that these are "canon events" that are necessary to the universe of every Spider-Man. These occasions can't be changed, or probably they will break the group, prompting wrecking outcomes. Miguel explains that when he tried to replace a murdered version of himself in order to raise that version's daughter, he broke the canon.

However, his interference resulted in the disappearance of that dimension and its inhabitants. There are different subtleties that numerous bug individuals share and can be followed by the calculation, one of which being a police commander near spider Man winding up dead while attempting to save a kid. Hobie, Jess, and Peter B. have all experienced this death. Captain Singh in Mumbatten was supposed to experience it, but Miles saved him, causing the black energy to appear and posing a threat to swallow the entire world. Gwen was attempting to stop him to safeguard the calculation's standard. Miles understands that his father will before long be made a chief, and the vision from Spot showed the antagonist causing Jefferson's demise while attempting to save a youngster. When he is sworn in, Miguel confirms that Miles' father will die in two days as predicted by their projections. Miles wants to go save him, but Miguel won't let him because he says it's a sacrifice that all spider people must make and that breaking too much of the canon would wipe out all dimensions. Miles is told the same by the other spiders who surround him, but Peter B. and Gwen refuse to interfere. Miles dismisses the thought that the calculation knows precisely exact thing will occur assuming that he attempts to save his father, so Miguel captures him in a power confine, proposing to hold him until the ordinance occasion has worked out. Miles flees from the cage after Hobie reminds him of his venomous powers. Hobie looks on gladly prior to stopping the Insect Society and getting back to his own aspect.

Miguel orders each spider man in the high rise to get Miles, yet he can avoid them into the under city. When Peter B. discovers him, he makes an effort to persuade him to give up, claiming that Miles gave him the courage to become a father. Miles won't permit his dad to pass on the grounds that Miguel's calculation says it is intended to work out, and leaves Peter behind when Miguel tracks them from Peter's watch. Miles escapes onto a train destined for the Moon, however Miguel pursues him savagely. He gets him, and irately lets Miles know that he would never be a piece of the Insect Society, since he is an irregularity himself; The spider that piece Miles was from another aspect. It was never meant to bite him, and because of that, there is a world without Spider-Man at all. Peter B. what's more, Gwen get up to speed, and inadvertently uncover that they knew about this, leaving Miles feeling double-crossed by his own companions. Despite this, he debilitates Miguel's suit with a venom strike, announcing to him that he will never give up and luring all of the spider people away from the headquarters. As he disappears and makes his way back to headquarters, he leaves Miguel and the other passengers on the train. He turns on the Go Home Machine, and it looks at his DNA. Spider-Byte allows the machine to continue, driving Miles away, despite Miguel's desperate efforts to stop him. Miguel is furious, and orders Jess and Ben, a.k.a. Scarlet Spider, to accompany him in his pursuit of Miles. Gwen questions Miguel before everybody, contending that perhaps Miles is correct, and maybe spider man 2099's calculation doesn't be aware for specific what will occur assuming the group is broken. Gwen is banished back to her own dimension by Miguel using the Go Home Machine. Peter B. also, Mayday return to Earth-616 to track down his better half, Mary Jane, hanging tight for them. Peter contemplates whether he will be any great at bringing up a kid all things considered, however Mary Jane consoles him.

Gwen is dropped off in Earth-65 when Miles arrives in New York. Miguel, Red, and Jessica additionally magically transport to New York. Gwen tries as hard as she can to get back and find Miles, but her watch has stopped working. She goes to her apartment to get her belongings, but her father finds her. They at last talk, Gwen making sense of why she believed she would never inform him concerning her modify inner self, and George tells her that he is stopping the police force. Gwen understands that implies he will as of now not be a skipper, and they accommodate. George gives Gwen a bundle left by Hobie, containing a hand crafted aspect watch produced using parts taken from the Bug Society. Gwen utilizes it to hop back to Miles' Earth.

Miles is rushing through the city to his apartment and pondering everything the other spider people have told him while Miguel, Ben, and Jess split up to look for him. He returns to his room securely, and is tracked down by his mother. While rambling about everything that has transpired since he left, Miles embraces her. He concludes he won't be apprehensive any longer, and tells her that he's Spider-Man. Rio, nonetheless, doesn't have the foggiest idea who spider- Man is, and approaches her night. When Gwen arrives at Miles' empty bedroom in Earth-1610, dimensional displacement causes him to spasm. Miles understands that the Return Home Machine sent him to the aspect the bug who cycle him came from: Earth-42. Miles's uncle, Aaron Davis, appears, still alive, but Jeff is nowhere to be found, and Rio is putting in extra effort to provide for her and her son. Aaron brings Miles up to the roof with him and asks him if he remembers "the plan." Miles sees that his father has already been killed in this universe as they leave, and he takes in this version of New York, which is a dangerous, crime-ridden, and ruled by villains landscape. Miles recalls that Earth-42 has no Bug Man. Aaron gets a text, and before Miles can respond, he is thumped oblivious by and obscure figure. Gwen hears Mr. and Mrs. Spirits worriedly talking in the other room, and they examine their sensation of estrangement from their child. Gwen shows up and lets them know it is her shortcoming he has not returned, acquiring some regard from Jeff when he discovers that her dad is a cop. Rio asks her to tell Miles how much they love him when she returns to find him.

Miles comes to Aaron's apartment, chained up. he attempts to make sense of that he is from another universe, one where his dad is alive and Aaron is dead. By stating that his uncle never really wanted to be the Prowler, he appeals to Aaron's better nature. Miles is shown who the Prowler is after Aaron reveals to him that he is not the Prowler: Earth-42's Miles Spirits. Prowler Miles begs his counterpart to release him so he can save their father because he is fascinated by his story. Prowler Miles, on the other hand, will not let him go. Since that is his dad.

Gwen assembles her own group to find and save Miles, including Hobie, Pavitr, Margo, Peter B. what's more, Mayday, Peni Parker and her robot SP//dr, spider-Man Noir, and spider Ham. Miles begins to ramp up his venom as they begin their mission using Hobie's made-up portals.
