He lost around 26 kilograms of weight because he needed to look like a prisoner in certain scenes. During the shooting, he adhered to a strict diet of consuming one date and drinking one glass of milk daily. Mahesh Manjrekar initially directed the project, but he had to step down due to scheduling conflicts.

Randeep not only directed the film but also produced it and co-wrote the screenplay and dialogues along with Utkarsh Naithani.
