Event organizer Denzville Lawson said, “I have been in the entertainment business for over 17 years. I started out in the hotel business, still in there doing events for tourist but now I am suing all that knowledge I have to take that brave step to put it out there in the market, not only in Jamaica but in the Caribbean.”
SAFU BRUNCH promises an exquisite array of authentic African cuisine, carefully curated to delight even the most discerning palates. From the bold spices of North Africa to the hearty stews of West Africa, each dish is a celebration of the continent’s rich culinary heritage.
“I am expecting over a thousand people,” Lawson commented, adding that “it is very secure and accommodations are available for person traveling from all over Jamaica.”
“My production companies called SAFU productions, the word SAFU originated from Swahili, means party in Swahili.” he said. Lawson said the event will have dancehall and pop but the highlight will be delicate balance of spices in traditional dishes, and experience the vibrant colors and textures that define African cuisine.
No African experience would be complete without the electrifying beats and soul-stirring melodies that echo across the continent.
Jamaica has had an appetite for African music since the Burna Boy’s Love, Damini Concert tour generated significant buzz in the island back in 2022. The event sparked intense interest, with top trending Google and Twitter searches leading up to the event and several weeks after.
Among the DJ sets that will keep the dance floor alive are DJ Mackie, DJ Gemini, DJ Quan from Montego Bay, DJ Flutegoove, an international DJ who mixes Afrobeats aight EMD music.
