Listen: Tyla’s Debut Album Features Gunna, Skillibeng, Travis Scott and Tems

South African sensation Tyla released her self titled debut album on Friday, and as first reported by World Music Views, Skillibeng is featured on the track “Jump,” which also features former YSL rapper Gunna.

The song, which is track 9 on the album, is produced by Sammy Sosa and written by Tyla, Skillibeng, and Gunna. Skillibeng kicks off the track deejaying,

“Original gyal, you aren’t a replica (No) Smooth, clean, no regular degular (No) Pretty for real, and pretty pon my cellular (No) Mi know say ya hot (No)”

Before Tyla comes in with her versing singing,

“They never had a pretty girl from Joburg See me now, and that’s what they prefer I don’t touch no wheel ’cause I gotta chauffeur First class how I get ’round the world Just miss me with the drama unless ya comin’ with the commas (Double it up) Oh, DJ turn the sound up ’cause we ’bout to pour the rounds up (Tell ’em double it up)”

The 2:27-minute track was recorded at Geejam Studios during Tyla’s visit to the island along with members of her team in November.

Tyla’s 14-track debut also features Travis Scott on the remix of her breakout hit “Water,” Nigerian singer Tems on the track No. 1, and Kelvin Momo on the intro.

The music video for the ‘Water’ remix with Scott was released ahead of the album on March 18 and has already surpasses 2 million views on YouTube. The original version of “Water” was released in July and achieved global success, topping charts in sixteen countries, including the United Kingdom and the US Afrobeats charts. In February, the song won the inaugural award for Best African Music Performance at the 66th Annual Grammys.

The album is released by FAX Records under an exclusive license to Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. It has already entered the top 10 on the iTunes chart (all genres), landing at No. 9 hours after its release, and has peaked at No. 4 in Jamaica. Additionally, it is charting in 129 countries on Apple Music, including #1 in Namibia and Solomon Islands, #2 in Botswana, Gambia, Kenya, South Africa, St. Lucia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, #3 in Angola, Liberia, and United Arab Emirates, #4 in Belarus, Dominica, Ghana, Guyana, Jamaica, Malawi, Nigeria, Qatar, Sierra Leone, and Uzbekistan, and #5 in Fiji, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Mongolia, Mozambique, Oman, Seychelles, Sweden, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

On iTunes, it has achieved the top position, topping the chart in Antigua and Barbuda and her homeland South Africa. While it’s #2 in Romania and Taiwan and #3 in Barbados, Hong Kong, and Spain.

The fourth single to be release form the album titled “Art” also produced by Sosa has surpassed 500,000 views on YouTube writing 13 hours.
