The album is also Gold certified in France (50,000 units sales and streams), Gold in Poland (10,000 units in sales and streams), and Platinum Switzerland (20,000 units in sales and streams).

The ground breaking project released March 25, 2022 spawns three singles including “Soundgasm” which became a U.K. underground hit, triggering a series of remixes including one with Stefflon Don titled “Steffgasm“.

The follow up track is Rema’s Billboard smash hit Calm Down the original and a bonus track version featuring Selena Gomez which peaked at No. 1 on the Canadian Hot 100 (No. 4 this week). The track has spent 47 weeks on the chart. Calm Down has also sent 44 weeks on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 3.

The third single on the album was FYN featuring British rapper AJ Tracey. Other features on the album include Chris Brown on the track 6, “Time Of Affection,” 6lack on the track “Hold Me,” and French singer Yseult on “Wine” track 15.

The extended 22 track Raves & Roses Ultra has 6 bonus tracks and was released April 2023. It has surpassed 1.5 billion streams on Spotify.

Rema, real name Divine Ikubor is credited as ushering the Afrowave genre and he told NME Magazine “I tapped into a different mind space for this album, though. Learning through personal experiences, I knew I had been pushed into a different space compared to where I was before. As I’m currently at the forefront of a musical generation, I know the album is going to have an impact.”
