The 5 Greatest Jokers Movies Ever Ranked

The 5 Greatest Jokers Movies Ever Ranked

The dangerously crazy criminal mastermind known as the Clown Prince of Crime regularly drags Gotham City to its knees. In addition to being the most dangerous foe in Batman’s iconic Rogues’ Gallery, The Joker is a powerhouse that cannot be tamed or contained. The Joker has grown to be arguably the greatest comic book villain ever produced over time. Barry Keoghan from The Batman currently holds the title. We will cover The 5 Greatest Jokers Movies Ever Ranked on gomovies and Netflix with Hd quality.

Heath Ledger – The Dark Knight

Christopher Nolan

Writers:       Jonathan Nolan, Christopher Nolan, David S. Goyer

Stars:          Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart

Few anticipated what Christopher Nolan accomplished with 2005’s Batman Begins, a grounded Batman movie that wasn’t realistic but thinks it is. This was especially true after the disaster that was Batman & Robin. This justification continues in Nolan’s 2008 superhero film The Dark Knight, which is so good it almost manages to transcend its genre. This is mostly attributable to Heath Ledger’s gruesome and horrifying portrayal of the Joker.

Ledger’s Joker is the unstoppable force to his counterpart’s immovable object, from the relentless opening bank heist, in which the Joker secretly manages everything to his own crazed whims, to the impossibly difficult decisions he forces on the residents of Gotham City. The interrogation sequence between Batman and the Joker, which the Joker employs, is the highlight.

Jack Nicholson – Batman

Tim Burton

Writers:     Bob Kane, Sam Hamm, Warren Skaaren

Stars:         Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger

Jack Nicholson’s portrayal of the Joker in filmmaker Tim Burton’s 1989. Batman may come in first if there were no Christopher Nolan or The Dark Knight. Nicholson provided us with the affable gangster version of the renowned villain as the first live-action. Joker since Cesar Romero cackled his way through the 1960s Batman series.

By portraying young Jack as the parent-killer of young Bruce Wayne, Batman ’89 boldly connects Nicholson’s Jack Napier to Batman/Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne.

Joaquin Phoenix – Joker

Todd Phillips

Writers:      Todd Phillips, Scott Silver, Bob Kane

Stars:          Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz

The standalone Joker movie from director Todd Phillips was controversial and unexpected, giving the character an alternate reality interpretation a la Elseworlds. Joker lives in Gotham City before Batman, much like Gotham. Arthur Fleck, played by Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix, is a failing comic who becomes a criminal, much like the Joker in Alan Moore’s The Killing Joke.

At this point, Joker departs from its comic book roots and adopts the dark, psychological thriller style of its two primary influences, Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy. Joker can be described by a wide variety of words, including scary, horrific, challenging, and shocking. Although in a different, darker key, Todd Phillips’ direction has a similar feel to Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies.

Cameron Monaghan – Gotham

Born:          August 16, 1993 (age 29 years)
Height:      1.82 m
Parents:      Diane Monaghan

The first season of the procedural television show Gotham starred Ben McKenzie as the unflappable cop Jim Gordon and Donald Logue as his weathered partner Harvey Bullock as they made their way through the increasingly chaotic streets of Gotham City before Batman. Over time, it changed into something entirely different, happily veering off course.

Cameron Monaghan gave passionate performances as the insane twin brothers Jerome and Jeremiah Velasko in Gotham, which presented its own origin stories for iconic Batman characters including Catwoman, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, the Penguin, and Bane. Gotham also revealed other potential Jokers.

Cesar Romero – The Original Batman Series

Tim Burton

Writers:     Bob Kane, Sam Hamm, Warren Skaaren

Stars:         Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson

Being the first actor to portray the Joker on film made Cesar Romero a matinée idol and the archetypal “Latin lover” character actor, with decades of credits in both film and television. Romero, a significant recurring antagonist in the 1966–1969 season of Batman, is notorious for not removing his mustache for the role; it can still be seen, coated in white makeup.

Romero’s Joker may be seen in several of the performances if you look closely. More facets of the persona would be added by the later Jokers. With his brightly colored clothes and manic chuckles, Romero’s Joker may have followed the modern comics’ campy tone, but he still merits a place in history.
