I heard a strange man talk to my daughter in her room — our baby monitor was hacked

An Australian dad was ready to fight an intruder in his 1-year-old daughter’s room — but when he entered, no one was there.

Now rapper J-Milla and his partner, Poppy Radbone, are warning parents about hackers accessing Baby monitors.

“Someone hacked into our baby monitor and was talking to our 1-year-old baby,” reads the text atop the couple’s TikTok, which has over 1.2 million views since it was posted last week.

“Guys, oh my God, our baby monitor got hacked this morning,” Radbone said in the 47-second video.

“Woke up to someone talking to our 1-year-old on the f—ing camera.”

They said the commotion happened at 6 a.m.

“We can hear our daughter just, like, grizzling in bed,” said J-Milla, who goes by Jay. “The next minute we just hear this man f—-in’ start talking to her.”

“I was thinking some cop was in my daughter’s room, like, looking over her, you know, and she was making that someone was in the house,” he added.

Assuming the worst, Jay went to his baby’s room, ready to fight.

“I f—-ing start s—ting myself, I get up with my little tummy hanging out,” he explained. “I boot the f—-ing door open. I’m like, I’m ready to swing at this guy.”

But no one was there.

Radbone asked her followers if anything like this had happened to them.

“It’s really scary,” she noted. “We don’t know what to do yet. We’ve got a VTech” baby monitor.

For his part, Jay told parents to “be careful out there because c—-s are hacking into these things and watching.”

The Post reached out to the pair and VTech for comment.

Commenters on the parents’ video said the Wi-Fi feature may be to blame for the invasion of privacy.

“This is such a common issue with wifi baby monitors. Get a baby monitor that doesn’t need wifi,” someone advised.

“Yes happened to me too. someone was watching it when I was in the room!” another exclaimed.

“It can happen through your baby toys as well. if they connect to wifi or have Bluetooth anyone can talk to your baby unfortunately,” a third warned.

This isn’t the first baby monitor hacking allegation.

Earlier this year, a mom who boasts more than 409,000 followers on TikTok claimed that her family’s Owlet baby monitors were compromised, and a stranger talked to her son.

In 2019, a Seattle family insisted that a stranger was watching and communicating with their daughter through what they believed was a “hacked” baby monitor.

The couple told KING 5 News at the time that they were on the lower level of their home when they heard their 3-year-old daughter calling from her room.

“She said the ‘voice is talking to me,’ ” the mom explained. “I said, ‘The voice is talking to you, what’s going on?’ And she said the man said, ‘Jayden, I love you.’ And I said, ‘What?’ ”

The parents claimed the voice came from their Taococo Video Baby Monitor — and have since unplugged the camera.
