Snake handlers are warning the public to refrain from interacting with snakes as Hot Weather Approaches.
SANParks has warned the public to be cautious of snakes while in the Table Mountain National Park, which is home to around 22 snake species.
Of these, 10 are non-venomous, although they can still "deliver a nasty bite if provoked", SANParks said.
Among the venomous species are the Cape Cobra, Puff Adder, Boomslang, and Berg Adder.
