Trevor Siemian has joined the Jets quarterback room.

But could Kirk Cousins or Ryan Tannehill be in that room by the end of October?

• WILSON CODDLING: Robert Saleh has gone a bit over the top coddling Zach Wilson. He has got to take a step back and hold his QB a bit more accountable for his atrocious play. Any other QB plays on Sunday and the Jets probably beat the Patriots.
• SIEMIAN SIGNING: Signed to the practice squad. Could end up being the backup next week in Denver or even the starter if Zach is bad again on Sunday. Not an exciting signing, but a QB familiar with the system on offense and is a quick learner and a veteran.

• WILSON’S INEPTITUDES: Jets should have signed Siemian immediately after Rodgers went down. Siemian would have been ready to go by now if he was signed after the first game.
• QB TRADE: Could the Jets trade for Cousins or Tannehill? Tannehill seems a bit more possible because of his ties to a few of the Jets offensive coaches. Cousins is the better QB. Tannehill could definitely get them to the playoffs. Both are expiring contracts and make tons of sense.
