Driver accused of killing student in drunken crash had a margarita at a dog bar with her pet dog Tequila: cops

A Texas woman accused of killing a college student while drunk driving allegedly confessed to downing a margarita — while out at a special dog bar with her pet pooch Tequila.

The suspect, Lynlee Pollis, 27, was also hospitalized after allegedly running a right light and hitting another car, killing 19-year-old driver Honor Elizabeth Wallace and leaving the dead girl’s passenger with a broken collar bone, according to an arrest warrant obtained by The Dallas Morning News.

A cop who saw Pollis at the Dallas hospital reported her as having “glassy eyes, slurred speech and an odor of alcoholic beverage,” the report said.

Pollis admitted having had a single margarita with tequila shots infused while out with her husky at a hip outdoor bar that’s also a dog park, Mutts Canine Cantina, Fox 4 News reported. She was also taking ADHD meds, the report said.

Pollis then crashed while driving home with the pooch, whom she celebrates regularly online — and is named Tequila Fontaine, seemingly in honor of the tipple she allegedly had.

Her Facebook page also features dozens of photos of her posing with alcoholic beverages on her international travels.

Pollis faces felony charges of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and intoxication assault with serious bodily injury, cops said. It was not immediately clear if she has an attorney to represent her.

Pollis had until April worked as an operations analyst at Vandelay Hospitality Group in Dallas.

“We are so deeply saddened to hear of this tragedy. Our hearts go out to the Wallace family, Honor’s friends, and the entire SMU community,” Vandelay rep Maggie Thomas told The Post in an email.

While “Ms. Pollis is no longer employed” at Vandelay, that does not impact the sorrow we feel over this loss,” the rep said. “We are keeping Honor’s family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.”

Wallace, of Grosse Point, Michigan, was studying Spanish and English at Southern Methodist University (SMU), according to Melinda Sutton, the school’s associate vice president for student affairs.

She said her staff were “making every effort to identify those who were close to Honor to offer care and support.

“Strength and support are found in community, and the SMU community stands ready to support you,” Sutton wrote. “Please keep Honor’s family and friends in your thoughts during this difficult time.”

K.C. Mmeje, the VP for student affairs, said in a statement that “the SMU community is deeply saddened by the tragic death of Honor Wallace.

“Honor was a valued member of our community, and we offer our heartfelt condolences and support to all who are affected by this loss,” Mmeje added.
