Judge sets bail at $50K for stroller-pushing creep busted for terrorizing at least five women in NYC

A stroller pushing creep arrested on assault charges after allegedly terrorizing at least five women on the Upper East Side was held on $50,000 bail Saturday.

Sam Mensah, 32, who has nearly a dozen prior arrests, has been accused in separate incidents of assaulting a 64-year-old grandmother; spitting in a reporter’s eye; and knocking a passerby out cold.

Judge Judy Kim issued multiple orders of protection for the alleged victims during Mensah’s appearance in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Prosecutors had sought $150,000 cash bail for Mensah. Mensah had not posted bail as of late Saturday afternoon, according to public records.

Mensah was nabbed Thursday night and charged with assault for allegedly shoving the older woman on Sept. 9 on East 77th Street near Third Avenue, cops and sources said.

The victim, was pushed so forcefully that she scraped her knees and tore her clothes, according to cops and family.

In December, the 5-foot-9, 150-pound Mensah allegedly knocked an attorney, 68, out cold on the street in another seemingly random attack.

The man said he had no recollection of being knocked unconscious, and only learned he’d been attacked when a police officer told him.

Mensah told police the victim was leaning against his child’s stroller, prompting him to lash out, according to court filings.

He’s also accused of allegedly hitting someone in the face with a handbasket in a grocery store Thursday and smacking a 16-year-old girl, according to prosecutors.

Mensah’s attorney, April Small-White, called the case against him “weak” and said it was fueled by media attention.

“They painted this guy to be a villain for bothering people on the Upper East Side. Is that a crime? No,” she said.

Mensah lives with his 2-year-old in a family shelter. The boy was in the stroller during one of the alleged assaults.
