Gratitude: A Huge Part in Feeling Well

It can be tough at times to feel Grateful or any real sense of Gratitude in times of hardship. We all know this to be true, whether it is money trouble or possibly relationship turmoil. It is, however, very important to stay connected to the things that we are truly thankful for and show the appropriate amount of gratitude for those things. We all have things to be thankful for. I could be as simple as being grateful for a certain person in your life. Or it could be that you are grateful for your job. Whatever it may be don’t forget to show gratitude because it goes a long way to improving the way to feel about your situation.

Showing gratitude toward the things you have not only takes your mind off of the things that are negatively affecting you in the moment, but also increases your Positivity levels altogether. Your thoughts are very powerful. Negativity attracts negativity. Positivity attracts positivity. It is really that simple. If you are dwelling on all that is going wrong in your life, then in turn you will begin to feel more negatively about everything else. So, the opposite is also true. The more positivity you let into your life the more positive you will feel about yourself and your life.

We all know that this is a lot easier said than done. Honestly though it is doable. You can start small and build your positivity. You could start out with something simple such as just appreciating the things you like about yourself in the mirror each morning if you are struggling with self-esteem. It works with everything. If you are struggling at your workplace, you could focus on everything that you do great and work from there. It just takes practice and consistency to stay in a positive state of mind and gratitude really does go a tremendous way.

Some experts believe that people with more are typically more unhappy than those with much less. We believe that this is due to the fact that when you have more, more is in-turn expected. That expectation in and of itself is a lack of earnest gratitude. If you were more focused on what you have other than what you could have you would be much more content and satisfied.

In conclusion gratitude is honestly the first step to feeling better about any aspect in your life. Things could always be worse no matter your situation, so, pay attention to the little things that are going right and sooner or later they will begin to add up the positivity and you will then start to feel better and more fulfilled in your life no matter what it is you feel you are lacking. When you feel better it is also proven to have a real beneficial effect on your success rate with life goals and overall work ethic. So, when you get down don’t dwell on it. Think about all that you have to offer and all that you DO have. Don’t let negativity tear you down, rise up and conquer!
