Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem is expected to complete his move to Ligue 1 Club Nantes this week.

The 26-year-old will put pen to paper on a four-year contract after Nantes reached an agreement with his Portuguese club, Boavista.

It will be Awaziem’s second stint with the Canaries after his loan spell in the 2017/18 season.

His arrival will also increase the number of Nigerians at Nantes to two, with winger Moses Simon already part of the squad.

The versatile defender spent last season on loan at Croatian club, Hajduk Split.

He has also previously played for clubs in Spain and Turkey.
