Headed To Walter Reade With Camp4Heroes To Bring Christmas To Our Vets Part 1

On December 3rd I headed to Bethesda, Maryland to help with a Christmas party at Walter Reade Hospital Warrior Cafe. The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center is one of the nation’s largest and most renowned military medical centers.
Recently dubbed “The Nation’s Medical Center,” Priding themselves as “Best of the Best” in military medicine when the National Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center came together in September 2011, to form Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The Walter Reed Health Care System provides comprehensive health care for more than 150,000 Soldiers, other service members, family members and retirees in the National Capital Area.

CCamp4heroes, the Gary Sinise Foundation and countless volunteer’s helped to make the season bright for several Vets and their families.

It was thrilling getting to meet the men and women who served in our military. I had a chance to talk to Commander Tom Mills who served in the Vietnam War.

And Vice Commander Jennifer Smith who served in multiple wars.

Both had so much to say and impart. Tomorrow more on what we can do to help our Vets.
