Marina is one of the finest Seafood restaurants in Greece, with numerous Greek Cuisine awards and honors.

It is located by the sea in Potidaia, Halkidiki. We arrived here after visiting. This restaurant is charming with open air and friendly and warm service.

Our group started with Fish roe “Taramasalad” served with carob bread and chives and “Fava” yellow split peas puree, with capers and caramelized onions. The both dips were mouth watering.

We also had tender vegetables in a salad form, that tasted of the garden.

“Dolmadakia” vine leaves stuffed with rice, served with “Xinotyri” soft cheese. Having only had these in cans, fresh is a whole new experience. They are truly wonderful.

Seafood carpacio was out of this world according to Evagaline.

and seafood risotto. Now to tell you how hospitable the Greeks are I can not eat mussels or clams and they kept trying to serve me this dish. Finally they just set a blank plate in front of me. Very funny.

The wines from Porto Carras followed us to add to the meal. We started with the Blanc De Noir

And moved onto Assyrtiko a refreshing and perfect wine for these dishes.

My favorite dish was the friend zucchini’s in fresh garlic paste. Non greasy and so light these were highly addicting.

For the main courses Fresh Fagri a local fish with celery puree and carrot that were so tasty.

Also Shrimp sautéed in a fresh tomato broth that was aromatic.

This was paired with the Rose with 5 blends of grapes.

For dessert a chocolate mouse cake with fresh ice cream served with a liquor called Poem that tasted like fresh picked plums.

Marina is definitely a restaurant to visit if you are in the area. The seafood, the service and the view are sure to please.
