Dublin's dark post-punks TV People are back with new track Die Down which will also see a vinyl release.

Dublin-based postmodern, post-punk outfit TV People have released their darkly profound new single Die Down. Unveiling an audacious blend of post-punk and alternative rock in an introspective and gritty sonic landscape, TV People are once again set to make waves in the indie music scene.

Die Down, their first release since last year's Circle and You Were Loved, is an emotionally charged song that reflects on cyclical patterns of love, conflict and resolution in a relationship. Written from the perspective of a person who feels trapped in a negative cycle in their love life, it explores unresolved issues which repeatedly cause pain to both them and their partner, despite the immense love and support that flows between them.

The band's empathetic word painting packs an emotional punch as they take us through the highs and lows of an intense relationship.

The track was recorded at Darklands Audio Dublin by Dan Doherty (Fontaines D.C.), mixed by Grammy Award-winning Caesar Edmunds (QOTSA, St. Vincent, and Foals) at Battery London and mastered by Ivan Jackman at Hellfire Studios Dublin.

TV People is the project of Paul Donohoe (vocals, guitar) and Brendan Clarke (drums); a band who create their dark, atmospheric yet melodic sound from a fusion of alternative rock and post-punk influences. Since forming in 2019, they have honed their craft in venues throughout Ireland and the UK. They also have a string of acclaimed releases. Kitchen Sinking, Circle and You Were Loved have seen the band tipped by Hot Press as one of their ‘Ones to Watch for 2021’.
