Located near Pacifica, Sam’s Castle is one of the top attractions to explore in the city. It was built in 1906 after Attorney Henry Harrison McCloskey decided to develop an earthquake-and-fire-proof castle, which was successfully done.

The castle ended up with the name “Sam” because Sam Mazza purchased the building in 1959. At the time, the building seemed to be seriously deteriorating, but Sam restored it and gave it a whole new look.
