What happened between Draymond and Jordan

Last year, when Draymond Green and Jordan Poole were at a Golden State Warriors training camp in October, an interaction between the two resulted in Draymond punching Jordan.

That footage became viral on social media. Both kept a stoic silence about the incident until now. Now that Poole has been traded, Draymond Green finally opened up about the incident but only gave cryptic clues.

Even so, there was enough to take away from that cryptic statement. Basically, Green revealed that it takes a lot to get him enraged, until him becoming fast and flippy with his hands.

Gilbert Arenas, on his podcast, Gil’s Arena, which recently featured former Minnesota Timberwolves Guard Rashad McCants, spoke about the skirmish between Draymond and Jordan, and Rashad had something interesting to add.

The discussion began with the question of what actually happened on that day. And Rashad said, “Why wasn’t it disclosed, what was said? Why wasn’t it? Because it was petty. He don’t want to tell the world what the fu** the n***a said because then we will be all looking at him like, ‘n***a, you hit him for that reason?’”

The conversation adds another layer to a controversy that’s all over the headlines and social media handles. There will be many theories and individuals trying to find out the real reason. But NBA fans haven’t yet found out the actual reason behind the punch-up. That will probably happen only if the two people open up about the incident.

Punch-ups and violence around sports events and individuals are rare, discounting the sucker punches that occur between players actually playing the game – but that’s when the two are in the heat of the game.
