‘The organised alphabet letters will save your life,’ Taylor megafan Mabel captioned a TikTok video where she showed the Spotlight shelves filled with monogrammed and decorative beads.

‘I’m a crafty person, I’ve been (to Spotlight) before but  I haven’t been to this section where they have all these beads, oh my gosh I feel like a kid again,’ another Swiftie Jennifer said in a video.

‘If you have a VIP membership, they are a little cheaper as well and they always have a lot of sales,’ she added.

More Eras ticket holders are posting videos of their closest Spotlight stores to inform fellow Swifties where there is stock available.

‘I may or may not have spent over $100 for beads… the concerts like eight months away but it’s never too early to prepare,’ a woman replied on one video.

‘I think I’m gonna have to go to spotlight,’ a second replied.

‘I went crazy and spent like $100 and have never made a friendship bracelet in my life, need to get started,’ a third added.

Others are reporting that the beads have sold out in many Spotlight stores but they have found alternative solutions.

‘My spotlight sold out of letter beads I’m so sad,’ someone said.

‘I went to eight different shops just to find the white and gold alphabet coin beads and NOTHING. The things I do for BEADS is insane,’ laughed another.

‘I ordered some on Temu! I also got some beads from Kmart and Look Sharp!,’ one user suggested and another said: ‘My spotlight has been ransacked! Temu for the win!’

‘Honestly cheaper to buy online from eBay or Shein,’ one user added.

Why are Taylor Swift fans making friendship bracelets?

Since Taylor Swift’s Eras tour started back in March, US fans have been making friendship bracelets to swap with each other at shows.

The trend started on social media and was inspired by a line in the song ‘You’re on Your Own, Kid’ from the singers latest album Midnights.

Swifties have been spending hours making the bracelets which will typically spell out the title or a short phrase from of one of the megastar’s songs in lettered beads surrounded by more colourful, decorative beads.

Some stack dozens on their wrists and being ziplock bags of piles more to trade with fans and even venue staff like bartenders and security guards as a keepsake for the experience.

‘It’s a nice way for us all to be connected,’ an Eras Tour attendee told The Hollywood Reporter.

‘It’s great to see the staff get into it and for everyone to have a good time bonding over their love for Taylor Swift.’

Taylor Swift’s Eras tour has not yet made it out of America but Aussie fans are wanting in on the bracelet action ahead of the singer’s Sydney and Melbourne shows in February 2024.

Many Australian ticket holders are buying up beads and starting to craft their own bracelets six months ahead of the shows.
