As the weather starts to warm up, exploring Aussies are flocking to a stunning swimming hole hidden in the middle of the forest.
Scouts Falls is nestled in Sherwood Nature Reserve just over 40km north-east of Coffs Harbour and has been called a ‘slice of paradise on earth’ by those who have visited.
After trekking a short bushwalk, visitors can take a refreshing dip in the crystal clear natural pool fed by a waterfall cascading 10m down the rocky face.
Despite the secret spot sitting only 40 minutes from Coffs Harbour some locals have said they didn’t even know it existed as it can be challenging to find.
However social media is being flooded with incredible snaps of the falls with its aqua plunge pool surrounded by lush greenery, a mini sandy beach and huge boulders.

The trail Scouts Falls is 1.1km, signposted by a graffitied boulder and winds through the bush across creeks and over rocky outcrops.
It is a spectacular natural beauty all year round but is best viewed after a bout of rain when the falls are freely flowing or on a still summer’s day when the water is glass-clear and turquoise blue.
Some people have braved the 10m climb to the top of the falls where there is a breathtaking view over the nature reserve however people should be cautious of the drop and slippery rocks.
