ZING UP (system – Tom Ward, switchers on the AW)​

Tom Ward does well at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other trainers, especially on the all-weather. Five of the 20 qualifiers (25% strike rate) won for a profit of £23.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. ZING UP showed a glimmer of ability for Andrew Oliver last season and could improve for the change of scenery on her first start for new connections.

KOLISI (system – David Pipe hurdlers, first run after a wind operation)

In-form trainer David Pipe has a good record with hurdlers returning from wind surgery. Since the beginning of 2019 had we backed all the qualifiers we’d have found 22 winners from our 116 bets (expected winners = 12.89) for a profit of £14.89 to a £1 level stake at SP. KOLISI had his first bout of wind surgery in February last year and the operation did the trick as he wrapped up a three-timer on his return to action. He failed to add to his tally for the remainder of the season and his trainer will be hoping a second wind operation will again pay dividends.
