A Facebook user posted and shared the new modus of a scammer pretending to work from Gcash Department on his FB Wall. The caller sounds professional that you might fall into his trick.

The scammer will tell you that upon checking on our GCash Account someone is trying to make a loan or money request on our behalf. The caller will ask if you know the person who requested the transaction if not he will make a request for cancellation and assist you in keeping your safe account by asking for OTP's and/or other pertinent data from your account.

Once you give your account details, they will hack your account.

Therefore, never give your OTP's of your account details to anyone. That's the only way to prevent your account for being hacked by scammers. The official GCash team will never ask about your personal details of your personal account.
