nDreams, the developer behind titles like Synapse, PowerWash VR, or Ghostbusters: Rise of Ghost Lord, has been acquired by Aonic Group for $110 million. Aonic Group previously obtained a minority stake in the company in March of last year, investing $35 million.
nDreams acquired, what’s next?
As of today, nDreams boasts 250 employees, making it the largest VR game developer and publisher in the industry. Established in 2006, the company shifted its focus exclusively to VR in 2013. Moving forward, nDreams plans to continue its trajectory, which includes developing third-party titles.
It’s also worth mentioning that Synapse has been nominated in the VR Category at this year’s The Game Awards.
