Dead Cells is getting an animated series

Dead Cells will be receiving an Animated Series scheduled for release next year.

Dead Cells Animated series – Details

Unfortunately, there isn’t much information available about the series at the moment, including the release date. What we do know is that the series will be created by Bobbypills, a French animation studio known for their work on the Netflix animation Captain Laserhawk, inspired by Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The Dead Cells series will consist of 10 episodes, each around 7 minutes long. Although it may not seem like much, we must remember that the game itself didn’t have an extensive storyline. The episodes will initially premiere exclusively on the French anime streaming service ADN before becoming available worldwide.

For those who have played Dead Cells, you’re familiar with the game’s setting—an island plagued by a devastating curse. The series will also explore this theme as the island’s king develops a remedy that transforms the population into monstrous creatures. Prophecies emerge, depicting a flame-headed hero destined to defeat the mad king. Below, you can watch a short teaser announcement for the series.
