Atari has announced the acquisition of more than 100 PC and console game titles from the 1980s and 1990s.
What did Atari acquire?
Studio has acquired over 100 PC and console game titles from the 1980s and 1990s, including titles from publishers such as Accolade, Infogrames, and Microprose. Some of these classic games include the Bubsy the Bobcat series, Hardball, Demolition Racer, 1942: Pacific Air War, F-117A, and F-14 air combat series.
What are Atari’s plans?
Atari plans to re-release some of the classic titles, expand their digital and physical distribution, create new games based on the IP, and explore brand collaborations. Some games may be ported to modern consoles. They’ve also acquired the trademark for the Accolade and GTI Brands.
