The last we talked about Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, we discussed how the film could potentially become a box office failure given the variety of factors against the film. To quickly list them, Its insane budget of $290 million and the release of movies like Oppenheimer and Barbie a week and half later. However, the one thing totally in favor of the film are the magical reviews are the reviews. Dead Reckoning has had glowing reviews until now even though the film is clearly only half the story the makers want to tell. Now that the film has released, many are wondering whether there is a post credit scene in the film that teases Dead Reckoning Part 2. Well, you don’t need to worry we have the answer for that question.
Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One Doesn’t Have A Post Credit Scene!
The concept of post credit scenes was started by Marvel Studios in modern cinema. Giving the audience just one more nugget of the film which may tease about the upcoming developments in the franchise. After Marvel, DC also followed the trend and soon post credit scenes became a norm in the superhero genre. However, recently many mainstream Hollywood franchises have adopted this tradition with Fast X having a post-credits scene where Luke Hobbs returned, while Transformers: Rise of the Beasts added a mid-credits to revive Mirage
Although, there are still some franchises which opt against the trope. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse didn’t have a post-credits, for example. Similar to Across the Spider-Verse and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One doesn’t have have a post or mid credit scenes. So, once the credits roll you can rush towards the exit doors, bathroom stalls or wherever you need to be.
The film stars Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales and Vanessa Kirby. MI 7 is slated to release on 14th July 2023 & Dead Reckoning Part Two is slated to release on 28th June 2024.
