Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, the first major spinoff, will be a prequel series centered on Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) and her ascension to the throne.

The limited series will follow the Queen as she meets and falls in love with King George in her youth and the stories of young Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury.

India Amarteifio plays young Queen Charlotte, and Corey Mylchreest plays young King George.

2. The Mother

Release Date & Day: Monday, May 12, 2023

The Mother, a Jennifer Lopez action thriller, follows the story of an ex-assassin forced to come out of hiding to help protect her estranged daughter, whom she abandoned years ago. Niki Caro directed the film, which also stars Lucy Paez, Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, and Paul Raci.

The film, which is set to be released in time for Mother’s Day, promises to be an action-packed story about a mother’s grit and resolve, as well as the lengths she will go to ensure her daughter’s safety.

3. XO, Kitty

Release Date & Day: Sunday, May 18, 2023

The upcoming rom-com series XO, Kitty is a spinoff of the hit Netflix film franchise To All The Boys. The show will shed more light on the youngest Covey sister as she discovers love, heartbreak, and herself as she moves to South Korea to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend.

5. FUBAR (Season 1)

Release Date & Day: Thursday, May 25, 2023

FUBAR, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first leading role in a scripted television series, follows a CIA operative on the verge of retirement who is forced to take on one final mission. What’s the catch? He is force to collaborate with his daughter, who works for the CIA.

This action-comedy series, starring Monica Barbaro, Milan Carter, and Barbara Eve Harris, is one of Netflix’s most anticipated releases of the year.
