Her account was restored on Tuesday. As a result, her first tweet upon her return read, "Hello everyone, it's nice to be back here."

She also discussed the production of her upcoming film, Emergency, which will be released in theaters on October 20, 2023. Ranaut has completed the film's production.

In her next film, the Tanu Weds Manu actor will play former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Her directorial debut, Emergency, also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, and Shreyas Talpade. The film is based on the events of the Indian Emergency of 1975. Kangana Ranaut's Twitter account was suspended, according to IndianExpress, because she was making controversial statements at the time.
