SAN DIEGO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ASCRS meeting, Jeff Wongs, MD, discusses a study that investigated the benefits of Cryopreserved Amniotic Membrane to restore the ocular surface to a healthy state.
Patients in the study were treated with Prokera Slim amniotic membrane before undergoing cataract surgery. Wongs and colleagues also assessed whether cryopreserved amniotic membrane improves the accuracy of biometric readings.
“This is a very exciting study that quantifies the benefits of using cryopreserved amniotic tissue, specifically Prokera in the study, to
