A Passenger Plane Crashed in Pokhara between the old domestic Airport and Pokhra International airport in Nepal today. Till now, 32 bodies have been recovered.

As the Plane crashed, it caught fire, and rescue workers were attempting to stop it. 32 bodies have been found, according to reports. Following the crash of a passenger plane at Pokhara Airport, the government has called an emergency cabinet meeting.

According to Yeti Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula, “10 foreign nationals, including 2 infants were on board.”

According to the news agency ANI, the Yeti Airlines aircraft that crashed between the old airport and the Pokhara International Airport had as many as 68 passengers and four crew members on board.

According to Yeti Airlines, a plane carrying approximately 72 people from Kathmandu crashed in Pokhara, Nepal, this morning.

The Kathmandu Post cited Yeti Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula as saying, “A total of 68 passengers and four crew members were on board the Yeti airlines aircraft that crashed between the old airport and the Pokhara International Airport.”

The third international airport constructed with Chinese assistance in Nepal was opened just a few days ago, on January 1, 2023.

The airport has been temporarily shut down while rescue efforts continue. In the meantime, a video of the final moments before the plane crashed in Pokhara has surfaced on social media.

GOVT MONITORING SITUATION Following the tragic event, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane traveled to Tribhuvan Airport to observe the rescue operation and learn more about the circumstances surrounding the plane crash.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the prime minister of Nepal, expressed her grief over the incident and requested assistance in the rescue effort from security personnel, government agencies, and locals.

To put out the fire, the Nepal Army, Armed Police, Nepal Police, firefighters, and locals have been brought in.

The death toll from a tragic plane crash in Nepal is extremely regrettable, according to India’s Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia.

In addition, Kamal Dahal Prachanda has instructed all government agencies, security personnel, and the Ministry of Home Affairs to carry out efficient rescue operations.

Pokhara is one of Nepal’s most popular tourist destinations, with thousands of visitors annually.
