The 2022 American absurdist comedy-drama film Everything Everywhere All at Once was written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. Anthony and Joe Russo, Jonathan Wang, and Daniel Kwan also served as producers. Evelyn Quan Wang, a Chinese-American immigrant who is being investigated by the IRS, is portrayed by Michelle Yeoh. She learns that in order to stop a powerful creature from destroying the multiverse, she must communicate with parallel world versions of herself.

Everything Everywhere All At Once Plot
Evelyn Quan Wang is a middle-aged immigrant from China who now owns a laundromat with her husband Waymond. Twenty years ago, the couple eloped to America and gave birth to a daughter named Joy. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is auditing the laundromat, Waymond is attempting to serve Evelyn with divorce papers in an effort to get her attention so they can discuss their marriage.
Evelyn’s strict and demanding father is in town for her Chinese New Year party, Joy is depressed and has a tense relationship with her mother, which also includes Evelyn’s resistance to accept Joy’s lesbian relationship with her non-Chinese boyfriend. Waymond’s body gets taken over by Alpha-Waymond, a version of Waymond from the “Alphaverse,” during a stressful encounter with IRS investigator Deirdre Beaubeirdre.
Evelyn is told by Alpha-Waymond that there are numerous parallel worlds since each decision she makes in life generates a brand-new other reality.
