Inter Milan sporting director, Javier Zanetti, has slammed Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, saying that he expected the player to “behave differently” regarding his future this summer.
The Serie A club were negotiating to bring Lukaku back on a permanent basis after a successful loan last season.
But talks with Inter have since collapsed and Lukaku could join Inter’s rivals Juventus in a potential swap with Dusan Vlahovic.
“Given what Inter have done for him, we expected him to behave differently, as a professional and as a man.
“He has the right to go where he wants, of course, but he could have told us that beforehand.
“Nobody is bigger than the club and when building a team, you always have to consider who you are bringing into the dressing room,” Zanetti told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
