28 accidents in 30 years Know the Reason:

Old airplanes, hill climbing challenge Kathmandu, 15.1 (Agencies): ATR-500 aircraft of Yeti Airlines crashed on Sunday after taking off from Nepal with 72 passengers. After this accident, the discussion started again regarding the challenge of flying in Nepal. In the last 30 years, there have been 28 plane crashes in Nepal.

According to experts, rugged terrain, bad weather, old aircraft, and inexperienced pilots make the flight deadly. According to a 2019 report by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Nepal's hills pose the biggest challenge for pilots. The geographical situation of the country is a headache for pilots. Out of the 14 highest peaks in the world, Nepal has 8 including Everest. Nepal's airport is 1,338 meters above sea level.

Due to this, it becomes difficult to change the direction of the plane. Being a hilly region, the weather changes quickly. Dense fog, snow, etc. are also seen here, making it difficult to navigate the aircraft.

Apart from this, Nepal does not have a good radar system. In addition, older aircraft do not have modern weather radar. Due to this, the pilot may not get weather data during the address. There is a chronic shortage of skilled and experienced pilots in Nepal. Due to these reasons, 28 countries have banned Nepali Airlines. Older aircraft are also causing problems.

The plane that crashed in Nepal today was a 42-year-old model. The first aircraft of this model was built in 1981. Later, this aircraft was included in nearly 2000 airlines from more than 100 countries. This model was jointly developed by the French Airbus and the Italian aircraft company Leonardo. This company is Cargo. And also manufacturing corporate aircraft.
