Multiple artists have contributed to the detailed artwork being showcased in the new exhibition at Lokyata Art Gallery. The curator Swagatika shared her views on the variation of works, “This exhibition has works from twelve different artists who had the vision of exploring the self through different mediums and styles. A few of them went for abstract ways, however as I can connect myself better with figurative works, you’ll find more figurative works here. Some of the artists chose the depiction of reality from day-to-day life whereas some of them went for the mythology or spiritual themes. We also have works that present the folk art tradition including the Madhubani style. It is just that every artist perceives realities in their own way. Our primary focus was on exploring the self and presenting it in a way that it should speak loudly and touch the human emotions at all levels.”
