Forgotify's rescue-act for Spotify songs that lay dwarfed in the digital music megasphere.

Let's accept it. Music Streaming is mega. It just keeps growing. With nearly 40,000+ new songs getting added to streaming sites per day, we are heading into the music streaming future with unheard-of numbers; massive statistics!

In the midst of such overflowing volumes, the big question that arises is: Can each and every new Song from among all available genres, be heard actually? Will there be listeners?

If the songs are released through the solid hands of the Big Record Labels such as Universal, Sony Music, SaReGaMa or T-Series, they can be considered to be in the safe zone. But what about the Independent and DIY artists? The ratio of big record labels' new songs versus the Independent/DIY artists is in the 1:8 zone. Eight times the volumes and hardly any visibility. Let's be honest. There isn't any real estate available either as the big-armed big labels are the leading bosses in marketing as well. So where does that leave the equation for the listening-potential of the other tracks?

90% revenues generated from 0.7% artists in Spotify

Data available from Spotify in 2020 suggests that from the nearly 8 million artists, roughly 57,000 artists accounted for 90% of the streams. In short, 0.7% of the artists made 90% of the revenues! Out of the $5 billion payout, $4.5 billion was paid to 57,000 artists only.

So, what happens to the rest of the 7 million plus artists out there and their deep-in-the-digital-forest songs? Pretty simple: staggered to almost no earnings! Or let us say, in many cases NO STREAMS at all :)))

Forgetify searches and shuffles for songs in Spotify with ZERO PLAYS and thereafter features those songs in their Home Page list. So folks with zero streams could expect the ice to be broken and head into at least 1 stream; thanks to FORGOTIFY:))). And from 1 stream onwards, it is anybody's guess.

Whatever be the outcome, FORGOTIFY is a noble digital music deed indeed that cannot be easily forgotten for featuring both the unforgettable gems and maybe forgettable songs on its website that would otherwise never have made the cut!
