NEW DELHI: In a surprising turn of events, Hiroshi Suzuki, the Japanese ambassador to India, recently astonished the public by showcasing his deep admiration for Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. The incident took place in New Delhi, where a delightful video featuring Ambassador Suzuki and popular Japanese YouTuber Mayo San has taken the internet by storm.
Previously in February, too, South Korean Ambassador Chang Jae-bok was also seen in a YouTube clip along with his staff dancing to RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ song. It also attracted a comment from PM Modi who called the act ‘lively and adorable’. The Korean Embassy in India shared a dance clip that had gone viral all over.
Now on Wednesday, the Japanese viral video, originally shared on Twitter, has garnered widespread attention. The footage portrays Ambassador Suzuki immersing himself in the lively beats of Rajinikanth’s iconic song “Kaavaalaa,” while effortlessly synchronizing his dance moves with Mayo San. The video culminates with the ambassador executing the iconic ‘sunglass step,’ a signature move associated with the Tamil superstar.

In February this year, Ambassador Chang Jae-bok was in news when he along with his staff at the Embassy is New Delhi released a video showing him along with his staff dancing too Natu Natu tunes. It went viral on various social media streams and was widely covered by the Indian mainstream media as well. The Natu Natu blockbuster track won Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards, beating heavyweights like Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
This song was also played during the 50th Anniversary India-Korea Friendship Golf Cup is organized by the Asian Community News (ACN) Network on April 15 this year with the support of the Embassy of Korea and United Korean Community Association on April 15 at Golden Greens Golf Club, Gurugram as part of the year-long celebrations which both India and Korea are celebrating as the golden jubilee year of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
