The Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun (Toilet-bound Hanako-kun) television anime's official website announced on Thursday that the series will "restart," and it also shared a teaser image (pictured) and announcement promo. Voice actresses Megumi Ogata and Akari Kitou are reprising their roles as Hanako-kun and Nene Yashiro, respectively.
The previously announced cast and staff members are returning for the new anime.
On January 5, the first 12-episode television anime adaptation of the anime aired on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, and was later aired on AT-X. Crunchyroll broadcast the anime live as it aired in Japan, while Funimation broadcast an English dub.
Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun is a original manga by AIDA Kakura.
The anime adaptation of AIDA Kakura's Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun (Toilet-bound Hanako-kun) manga will resume its broadcast run, according to the official website of Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan magazine on Friday. The new anime will debut on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV on January 5 at 25:05 (effectively January 6 at 1:05 a.m.), followed by an evening broadcast on AT-X. The anime will also be available for viewing on Bandai Channel, Docomo Anime Store, and d Anime Store.
The new episode will air on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other stations on January 11 at 10:00 p.m. The AT-X channel will also air the episode on January 13 at 9:00 p.m , and the episode will be available on the AbemaTV streaming service in Japan on January 13 at 10:00 p.m.
The anime premiered in Japan on January 5, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.
Kiyoko Yoshimura (Macross Delta, Naruto Shippden) is directing the anime at Lerche, and series composition is handled by Kazuho Hyd (Hyperdimension Neptunia, My First Girlfriend Is a Gal).

The second Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume of Toilet-bound Hanako-kun will be available on March 25th, according to the website.
The volume will include the third and fourth episodes, as well as an event ticket.
