This prestigious award recognizes and celebrates the incredible bond between a mother and her child, who have shown exceptional resilience, love, and mutual support in the face of adversity.

ABOUT TUSHAR KIRAN MOODGAL

Tushar Kiran Moodgal is an award winning poet and writer from Shahdara, Delhi. He has co-authored more than 25 Poetry books and is working on his solo poetry compilation “Lamentations” which is scheduled to be released in May 2023 via Evincepub Publishing. He holds a Masters’ degree in Political Science and International Relations and studied Japanese at St. Stephens’s College, Delhi University.

He credits his father for igniting his passion and love for literature and poetry. Tushar cites John Keats, William Wordsworth, Edgar Albert Guest and Edgar Allan Poe amongst several other stalwarts of English poetry as his inspirations. Tushar has been writing since his teenage days however he has started getting his works published fairly recently. His poetry has undergone significant changes over the years. Starting out his poetry was filled with a lot of angst. During his college days he wrote quite a lot about heartache, anxiety issues and depression with a very nihilistic approach. However his recent poetry is more philosophical in nature. He is a firm believer in the teachings of the Geeta and is a strong advocate of the Stoic philosophy.

He was honoured with the prestigious “Maharishi Valmiki Bhartiya Gaurav Samman 2023” for his contribution to contemporary literature particularly his philosophical poetry. He was also awarded the coveted “Tagore Ratna Samman 2023” and was named “Poet of the year 2023” by Priya’s Wisdom Publications. His other accolades include “The Best Poet” award and the “Poet of the Year” award for his contribution to the art form by Drop of Change Publications. He also recieved the “Wandering Minds Best Philosophical Poetry Award” for his poem “Conquering of Self” and was named as one of the “Outstanding Poets” for his work on “Mysterious Fantasy” anthology by Instant Publications. His poem “Birds of Misfortune” published in Evincepub’s bilingual anthology “Anokhe Alfaz” recieved the “Most Soulful Poetry Award”. Tushar Kiran’s poetry has been published in several newspapers and digital media.

His other interests include Martial Arts, Heavy Metal, Comic Books and Football. He has worked as a sports journalist for independent media platforms such as Vrinsidesports, Game Has Just Begun, and Bleedsport. He is a diehard fan of the English football giants Chelsea F. C. and is currently the serving club secretary for the Delhi chapter of the Chelsea India Supporters Club.

ABOUT USHA KIRAN MOODGAL

Usha Kiran Moodgal was born on September 1, 1957 in Shahdara as the youngest child of Dr. Purnanand Sharma and Sheelavati. After completing her graduation in Fine Arts, she obtained a post-graduate degree in Hindi and History. Her life is enriched by both literature and dance. On January 28, 1987, she got married to Ashok Moodgal and entered into married life.

“Kavya Tulika” is her first composition for which she has been honored with the “Sahitya Sthambh Puraskar 2023” and the “Sarvashreshtha Kavyitri 2023” award by Drop of Change Publications.

Recently, she was honored with the “Maharshi Valmiki Bharatiya Gaurav Samman 2023”. Additionally, many of her poetry compositions have been published in various joint editions for which she has received accolades. Some of her compositions have also been published in newspapers. Usha Kiran has recently started sharing some of her compositions on her Instagram handle @ushakirankavyanjali.
