If your administrator gives you permission to use alternate devices, also known as Extend and Connect, you will be able to make and receive calls using a different device, such as the phone in your hotel room or your home phone, while still taking advantage of the calling capabilities in Webex App. For example, if your administration gives you permission to use alternate devices, you will be able to use the calling capabilities in Webex App. You are not need to be connected to the network at your place of employment, and your workplace number will always be displayed on caller ID, allowing others to readily recognize you.

Windows

1. You may access your calling settings by clicking the profile image, going to Settings, and then selecting Calling.
2. Select a device to use under Alternate Devices, and then click the Add Number button after making your selection.
3. After that, click the Save button after entering the number of the alternative device.

• • This device is utilized for all calls, whether they are incoming or outgoing.

4.  In order to make a call utilizing this other device, navigate to Connect to a device within the app header, scroll down until you reach Alternate Devices, and then select the device that you wish to utilize. Then proceed to make a call, either audio or video, as you normally would.

Mac

1.  You may access your calling settings by clicking the profile image, going to Preferences, and then selecting Calling.

2.  Select a device to use under Alternate Devices, and then click the Add Number button after making your selection.

This device is utilized for all calls, whether they are incoming or outgoing.

3.  You can use this alternative device to make calls by going to the Connect to a device menu, scrolling down until you reach Alternate Devices, and then selecting the one you wish to use. Then proceed to make a call, either audio or video, as you normally would.
