Your Cisco IP DECT 6800 Series in webex

Your Handset

Cisco IP DECT 6800 Series is comprised of the Cisco IP DECT 210 Multi-Cell Base Station along with the Cisco IP DECT Phone 6825 Handset, which together form the Cisco IP DECT 6800 Series.

A Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) system is used in the handsets to facilitate communication between them and the base station.

Your handset may not be able to support all features. In order to find out what features are supported by your service provider, please contact them.

Buttons and Hardware

It is likely that you will use many of the buttons on your handset as well as some of the hardware features on a regular basis. To identify the important buttons and hardware features, use the following figure and table as a guide.

1Indicator light (LED)Light indicator—Use the light indicator to identify the state of the system. Red, yellow, or green LEDs can be triggered in response to certain events that you specify.
2Emergency buttonIn the case of an emergency, an emergency alarm will be raised.
3Headset portThere is a cover over the headset port. It is recommended that the protective cover be removed and a headset or earbuds (3.5 mm audio jack) be plugged into the device.
4Softkeys, handset control buttons (Speaker, Menu), Navigation cluster, call control buttons (Answer/Send, Power/End).With the softkeys, you can activate any of the options that appear on the screen.

The speaker mode of the handset can be toggled on or off by selecting this option.

Using the menu bar, you can access directories, settings, status information, and much more.

Navigation ring (outer ring): Make a move to the right, left, up, or down.

Select the button (center of the cluster): Choose one of the menu items from the list.

In the event of a ringing phone, you can answer the call or, if you have dialed a number, you can place the call.

You can switch the handset on or off by pressing this button, or end a call by pressing this button. You can use the button to return to the previous screen when you are in a menu.
5KeypadEnter the number and the letter that you want to call.

One

When you dial a number, you should enter "1" into the dial pad.

You can access your voicemail by clicking here. The voicemail system will be automatically dialed when you press and hold the button.

You will need to enter these special characters in your text: . ! ? , - " @ + ; :

Asterisk

When a phone number begins with a plus (+), you need to press and hold the symbol to add it to the beginning.

Zero

When you dial a number, you should enter "0" as the first digit.

The keypad can be locked or unlocked by pressing and holding the lock or unlock button.

Make sure you enter a space after the period.

Pound

When you press and hold the handset ringer, the ringer will be silenced. As an alternative to vibrating, the handset can be configured to do so instead.

Please enter the following special characters in the text field: #

To enter letters and numbers, you will need to use the keys 2 through 9.

There may also be additional characters present in some languages.
6Volume and Mute buttonsVolume

The handset should be turned off or the ringer should be turned off when it is idle.

It is important that you are able to control the volume of your active handset, headset, or speaker during a call.

Mute Turn on or off the feature that mute's the audio.
