Viewing managed devices in zoom app

The Zoom Device Management tool gives account owners and administrators the ability to manage their devices from a central location and in a simplified manner. There is a Device list in which you can view all of the managed devices that are enrolled in the ZDM service as well as those that are not.

Notes:

  • It is possible to upgrade, downgrade, or remove devices from the list if they are not enrolled in ZDM, but they cannot be amended for further management if they are not enrolled in ZDM.

  • All of your devices can be managed and settings can be locked using this feature.

Prerequisites for viewing managed devices

  • Privileges as an owner or administrator

  • Devices such as Zoom Rooms, Zoom clients, or Zoom phones are used to create Zoom rooms

How to view the list of your managed devices

View your managed devices list by clicking on the following link:

Note: The settings gear can be found at the top right of the page, which allows you to select which columns you want to be displayed.

  1. Visit the Zoom website and log into your account.

  2. Click on Device Management from the navigation menu, and then click on Device list from the device management menu.

  3. Select the Devices tab on the left side of the screen.

  4. It is important that you type the name of the device you want to find in the search box.

  5. There is a drop-down menu on the right side of the page that you can use to filter the following:

    • All Platform OS

      • Windows

      • macOS

      • iPadOS

      • Android

    • All Managed Devices

      • Enrolled in ZDM:

      • A list of ZDM-enrolled devices.

      • Not enrolled in ZDM:

      • Devices that are not enrolled in ZDM.
        Note: For the time being, Zoom clients are not supported.

      • HaaS: In the case of Zoom Rooms and Zoom Phones, these devices are purchased under a Hardware as a Service (HaaS) agreement.

      • Assigned:

      • A device that is assigned to a user or a room.

      • Unassigned:

      • It appears that the device has not been assigned to any users or rooms.

    • All Zoom Device Types (Lists of the different types of devices categorized by the type of device)

      • Computer for Zoom Rooms

      • Control panel for Zoom Rooms

      • Display of Zoom Room Scheduling Information

      • Appliance for Zoom Rooms

      • Digital Signage for Zoom Rooms

      • Companion Whiteboard for Zoom Rooms

      • Control system for Zoom Rooms

      • Zoom at home for a better view

      • Appliance for Zoom Phones

      • Client for Zoom

    • All Appliance Partner Devices (In the case of Zoom Room and Zoom Phone, we provide hardware as a service, or HaaS)

      • DTEN

      • Logitech

      • Poly

      • Neat

      • Yealink

      • Lenovo

    • All Status

      • Online

      • Offline

How to view management details of a specific device

  1. Visit the Zoom website and log in to your account.

  2. Click on Device Management from the navigation menu, and then click on Device list from the device management menu.

  3. To access the Devices tab, click on it.

  4. If you would like to select a device, click on its name.
    You will see a pop-up window that has two tabs on it: Details and Manage

  5. If you click on the Details tab, you will be able to see the following information:

    • Serial Number: In order to identify a device, it is necessary to know its serial number.

    • Vendor: This is the manufacturer’s name that appears on the product.

    • Model: A description of the device’s model can be found here.

    • Platform OS: This is the version number of the operating system.

    • APP Version: There is a version of Zoom running on the device.

    • IP Address: This is the device’s IP address.

    • MAC Address: It is important to know the device’s Mac address.

    • Enrolled: ZDM enrollment status of a device. ZDM enrollment status of a device.

    • Connected to ZDM: There is a connection or disconnect between the device and the network.
      After a period of 60 minutes of communication with ZDM by the device, it will appear connected.

    • Assignment: Name of user the device is assigned to if assigned or unassigned.

    • Assigned Group: Name of the group the device is assigned to or unassigned.

    • SDK Version: Version of the SDK.

  6. You can view the following information by clicking the Manage tab:

    • Assign to Group: The device can be assigned to a group by clicking the appropriate button.

    • Upgrade OS: The OS can be upgraded by clicking the following link.

    • Upgrade App: The Zoom app can be upgraded by clicking the link below.

    • Remove from User: Remove the assigned user from the list by clicking the ‘Remove’ button.

    • Rename: The device can be renamed by clicking the rename button.

    • Remove from Zoom: The device will be disconnected when you click the disconnect button.

    • Refresh: The device details can be refreshed by clicking the refresh button.

    • Factory Reset: You can reset the device to factory settings by clicking the button below.

    • Sign Out: You can sign out of the device by clicking the sign out button.

    • Restart: You can restart your device by clicking the restart button.

  7. Please click on the Close button to close this window.

  8. If you click on the more options icon on the far right side of the device name, you will be able to choose from the following options:

    • Assign to Group: A client can be assigned to a group based on their needs.

    • Upgrade OS: Your device needs to be updated with the latest OS version.

    • Upgrade App: Your device needs to be updated with the latest version of the app.

    • Remove from User: A Zoom Phone Appliance device must be removed from a user in order to be repaired.

    • Assign to User: A Zoom Phone Appliance device can be assigned to a user by clicking the assign button.

    • Assign to Common Area: A common area should be designated for the Zoom Phone Appliance device.

    • Rename: The device should be renamed.

    • Remove from Zoom: Zoom device management should be removed from the device.

    • Sign Out: Exit the device by signing out.
