Next Level Chef Season 2: Gordon Ramsay is back with his one-of-a-kind cooking show, Next Level Chef. The show puts its contestants through a series of stages on a three-story set with a different kitchen on each floor.

From the shiny top-floor kitchen with all the bells and whistles a chef could want to the challenging minimal kitchen in the basement and the middle kitchen that is somewhere in between, the ingredients match the environment. Gordon thinks that the true test of a great chef is not what they can do in the best of circumstances, but what kind of magic they can make in the worst!

When does season 2 of Next Level Chef start?

The second season of Next Level Chef will start on Sunday, February 12, right after Super Bowl LVII. It will then move to its regular time slot on Thursday, February 16, at 8 p.m.

Richard Blais

Richard Blais is a successful chef, restaurant owner, cookbook author nominated for a James Beard Award, and TV star. Blais was the first winner of the cooking show Top Chef All-Stars. He went to the Culinary Institute of America and got training at The French Laundry, Daniel, Chez Panisse, and el Bulli.

Who won Next Level Chef’s First Season?

Stephanie “Pyet” Despain

Stephanie “Pyet” Despain from Kansas City, Kansas, won $250,000, a one-year mentorship from each of the three chef mentors, and the title of Next Level Chef for season one. Pyet was originally on Team Nyesha, but she won over the mentors with her menu of pork and sweet potato empanadas, seared striped bass with spiced sweet potato purée, and roasted rack of lamb with fingerling potatoes, prosciutto-wrapped green beans, and a red wine reduction.

Pyet beat out Mariah Scott from Santa Clara, California, and Reuel Vincent from Trinidad & Tobago. All three chefs had 90 minutes to make three amazing dishes: an appetiser from the basement kitchen, a fish course from the middle kitchen, and a meat dish from the top kitchen.
