Storyline

The movie Ponniyin Selvan 1 by Mani Ratnam is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s book of the same name.
It is about a king and his family. It’s about Vanthiyathevan (Karthi), who sends Aditha Karikalan (Vikram) to deliver a message to his father Sundara Chola (Prakash Raj), and sister Kundhavi (Trisha).

Acting & Performances
Ponniyin Selvan 1 is a movie with a lot of big names in it. It features actors like Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Shobita Dulipala, Aiswarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Jayaram, Vikram Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj in lead roles.
In Ponniyin Selvan 1, all of the actors did a great job, no matter how much they were on screen.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played both an old woman and a young princess, and both roles were so well done that we were speechless.
Karthi was the prince and the most important character in the movie, so it was hard not to watch him. Trisha was also great as Kundhavi, and her fights with Aishwarya Rai in silence were bangers.

Even though we liked every actor’s role and character, Jayam Ravi was a bit of a letdown. Not because he didn’t act well (he was great), but because his character didn’t matter much and was just thrown in.
We also think that this happened because the filmmakers may have more for him to do in Ponniyin Selvan 2.

I’m not going to lie, it’s really hard to pick the best Ponniyin Selvan 1 actor out of all these great ones.
But we would still vote for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Karthi if we had to do it and had no other choice. As was already known, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had two roles in the movie, so it was clear that she had to work hard to do well in both.
On the other hand, Karthi as Vanthiyathevan was the best way to steal the show. As the prince, he played the part well and made an impression.
Everything about the actor’s performance impressed us, from the way he moved to how he looked.
Music & Cinematography
Ponniyin Selvan 1 is an epic historical drama that will keep you interested and amused from beginning to end. And music and cinematography are important parts of any film that are missing from it.
AR Rahman, who is still alive and well, did the music for this movie. Some of the songs didn’t seem to have much of an effect, but others, like the song “Kaveri,” made the whole show better. But as far as music goes, it was just okay.

Ravi Varman, on the other hand, made Ponniyin Selvan 1’s cinematography a work of art.
Well, the whole movie looked very beautiful on the big screen, but the fight scenes were the best parts. They were shot with so many interesting details and angles that made us more interested in the story.
Direction & Screenplay
Mani Ratnam, who has made many great movies like Roja, Bombay, Iruvar, and many more, is in charge of Ponniyin Selvan 1.
As soon as Mani Ratnam was named the director of this project, it was clear that this movie would be just as good as other great movies.
We don’t think any other director could have gotten such great performances out of everyone on the team and made the movie look so grand and good in the end.

Ponniyin Selvan 1 is directed by Mani Ratnam, a renowned filmmaker whose previous works include Roja, Bombay, Iruvar, and many others.

We don’t believe that any other director could have coaxed such incredible performances from every team member to make the picture look so grand and impressive.
