We found out a few days ago that Black Adam was a big box office failure for Warner Bros. Pictures.

The performance hasn’t been up to par, so it was said to be losing up to $100 million. In the middle of it, Dwayne Johnson himself has come out to defend his movie and has shared on social media how much money it made. Read on to find out more.

A report in Variety said that the movie would break even at $600 million, given that it cost $195 million to make and $80 million to market.

But so far, the Dwayne Johnson movie has made $387 million around the world, which is a long way from making enough money to break even. People say that the movie is losing between $50 million and $100 million because it didn’t do well at the box office.

The story quickly went viral, and now Dwayne Johnson is supporting Black Adam with some numbers. He said in a tweet that the movie did well and that they are taking their time to grow DC’s Extended Universe.

He used Captain America: The First Avenger as an example. That movie only made $370 million at the box office.

The actor who plays Black Adam tweeted, “Waited to confirm with financiers before I shared this great #BlackAdam news: our movie will MAKE MONEY of between $52 million and $72 million…Fact.
