James Gunn’s tweets strongly imply that the rumors of Aquaman and Wonder Woman not moving forward are likely true, as he states, “We know we will not make everyone happy every step of the way, but we can promise that everything we do is in the service of the STORY and in the service of the DC CHARACTERS we know you cherish and that we have cherished our entire lives.”
James Gunn says that the impending transformation at DC Studios is inescapable. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 directors stated, “Peter and I chose to lead DC Studios knowing we were entering a fractious environment, both in the stories being told and the audience itself, and that there would be a necessary transitional period as we moved into telling a cohesive story across film, TV, animation, and gaming.” 3 directors added.
